Moisture Content Check
Many contractors talk about hardwood floor acclimation, but they don't have moisture meter, and never check moisture content. That sounds professional but is actually nonprofessional is really bad for home owners.
One of the most important hardwood floor installation guidelines of National Wood Flooring Association is moisture content checking after acclimation before installation. Contractors must not skip the step, otherwise chance of installation failure is high.
Nailing Schedule
Using the right nails/cleats/fasteners and nailing schedule is critically important to successful nail-down installation. In general, we follow the guideline of the NWFA or manufacturers to ensure the professional work.
